These are examples of school magazines. As you can see the conventions of the front covers are different to ones of gossip or fashion magazines. There is no background colour and no generally no other pictures. any other stories are not too attention catching, like they ar in Heat magazine. Like the majority of magazines, the masthead is big, bold and top centre. There are only a few colours on each cover, and the colours are themed, unlike the clashing bright colours of a non-educational magazine. There is also a minimum of punctuation and this shows that the magazine does not rely on screaming headlines to attract viewers.
